Review on Multitool pliers LEATHERMAN Charge Plus (832516) black by Jnis Staulis ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Beyond praise! The product definitely deserves your attention.

I chose a tool from different manufacturers among the top models. Why Leatherman in the first place. In addition to purely aesthetically, I also like the fat plus this one-handed opening of the blades (and there are two of them, a plane and a sereytor), their well-thought-out location and full size (almost along the entire length of the body). Also a big plus is compatibility with the bits of the tool itself without any additional knobs. A set of bits fits in a case with the tool itself, greatly expanding its functionality. When choosing the Charge + or Charge TTI model, I settled on the first one for two reasons - thinner-lighter and (main) pliers jaws are not weakened by a crimping recess. The crimp itself on it is moved under the base of the pliers. On the downside, it's scratchy. The difference in cost is only 500-1000, so it is insignificant and did not affect the choice, but it may be important to someone.

Pros
  • All essential tools in one compact set The design is collapsible and serviceable, but you have to look for special keys Design Reliability and official guarantee regardless of where and how you purchased The arrangement of tools is conveniently thought out: knives are on the left and look down, power tools are outside, small ones inside All tools are locked There are two bit holders Blade made of steel 154CM
Cons
  • Soft, fast licking and expensive original bits. Ordinary ones do not fit, they require an expensive adapter (which, by the way, can be made independently from any bit extender by grinding it down according to the thickness of the body bit holder) Black finish is scratched A rather rough blade with a thick pivot Prone to rust despite the stated stainless steel (unlike Victorinox bodies), so WD-40 grease is required.
