Review on πŸš› Luber-finer LAF1849 High-Quality Air Filter for Heavy-Duty Vehicles by Kyle Salinas

Revainrating 3 out of 5

*3 Months Update* 2007 Freightliner Columbia 14L Detroit Perfect Fit

**_3 Months Update_ I have downgraded my original five stars to 3 stars. After only 3 months and about 24,000 miles local driving, this filter did not last as well as my previous Fleetguard filter. Luber finer filter pleats twist and deform throughout the filter. Where the filter is in the intake housing, the pleats are wide open. While I did not find any violations in the filter media, I did find that this filter was not as "heavy duty" as I would have liked. I switched back to Fleetguard, they last better. ** I bought this for my Freightliner Columbia with a 14L Detroit engine. This is currently the only filter available through Revain Prime, which along with the price, was a major factor in my purchasing decision. This is a very good filter. For the most part I prefer Fleetguard filters and this version of Luber-finer has replaced those. The filter media and steel-cage luber finer were found to be identical to the Fleetguard. The only difference between the two is that the closed rubber end of the Luber-finer appears to be slightly thinner and not as thick as that of the Fleetguard, also the Fleetguard has two strips of adhesive that go around the filter while the Luberfiner only has one quarter-sized spot sticks. I have full confidence that Luber-finer will get the job done perfectly. The Luber-Finer is made in the USA, the Fleetguard is not, so that's a plus. You can pay twice as much for this filter model no matter what brand is somewhere else. Quality product at a decent price with Revain Prime shipping, no problem. Five stars
