Looks like a well made product. Solid construction and happy with how it was made and how it worked. Easy to open and close. I used a GoPro remote mount that held the remote securely to the pole. Used it for 2 weeks on a private boat trip to the Bahamas. By boat, muddy walks, trekking to the remote islands and snorkeling. The only issue I had was that after using it in the water the pole was filled with salt water. After using it several times, opening and closing the pole, the water flowed out of the pole. As this is an extension cord this is probably to be expected and not a big deal. The pole continued to function normally. My only concern is internal corrosion from salt water. If there was a way to open the pole and rinse it with fresh water it would sure extend the life of the item. Is there a way to do this without destroying connections?
