What is 'missing' is this remote's ability to skip chapters on the hard drive. This makes it harder to use than it should be and is the reason for the 4 stars. It was also *not* preprogrammed to work with my Samsung TV. Just to make sure I reset it to "factory settings" and it still doesn't control the TV. After entering the Samsung code, however, it works perfectly, so at least. I then realized that the buttons weren't in the 'right' place for Samsung and from the pictures I found that the 'Visio' version was sent to me even though I ordered 'Samsung' and there was a sticker on the box indicating it was the Samsung version. This is a little annoying as I chose Samsung for both my TV and the button layout on the device. So be aware that this can happen to you too. It also drives my LG BR and DVD players with no issues, except not being able to navigate between chapters on the disc. As a bonus, it can also be programmed to control my XBox-360 - a plus since I've never bothered to buy a "media remote" for the box and use a standard game controller is a bit troublesome as they turn off after a while. For my money it is worth using a controller for this box, especially since the "official" versions have long been sold out and can be expensive to buy "new". allows you to adjust the volume with the device of your choice, regardless of which device you are controlling. All in all a few minor things, otherwise not bad for the price.
