It comes with a tiny screwdriver, but if you have a set of micro screwdrivers, it's better to use a small single flat head NOT TO REMOVE THE SMALL LONG SCREW replacing your old, shorter one. You'll need to replace the battery from time to time, so yes, keeping the screw intact makes a big difference! Yes, it fits exactly, but in the end it works well. You will need pliers to carefully insert the key bit into the crescent-shaped sleeve that stabilizes the key bit. THIS IS THE KEY (sorry) BUT IT IS LOCKED TIGHT. PRESS CAREFULLY. It should fit in half of the case and when you insert it into the case you should be facing the crescent shaped side of the key case. LONG SCREW REPLACES your original shorter case screw and goes all the way to the other side of the knob and screws in too! It was confusing at first because the original screw wasn't fitted that way. We had a smaller screw on one side only. RESERVE your smaller one just in case. My shell halves are about 98% fully closed. There is the tiniest visible gap as you can see in my photo from the side. You can see that the buttons are not cracked, but they are in perfect condition and usable. SUMMARY: $15, 3 days, very durable plastic; it works; I saved $200 on Lexus on a brand new key!
