Nice replacement - close to original but slightly different specs

Pros: - Affordable - Feels "like new" and is durable - Improved design over the original all metal key shank Cons: - My old case didn't break so I had to pry out the metal key shank, to add a spare -detail The one that fits on the key was very tight and I had to use pliers to persuade it during installation - the sides of the key fob body don't meet. I've tried trimming the edges but I'm afraid the replacement will crack - the buttons have sunken a bit due to the above. In general I am…

Exceeded my expectations!

After reading various reviews I expected it would take a bit of work to get my metal parts into the case. But surprisingly everything was just perfect! I replaced the cases with my original key and a copy of it. Both fit very snugly and didn't require any additional work. It took about 10 minutes to swap both of them out. The plastic is very good quality, definitely better than my cloned key. If you look at or hold the buttons, do not think that this is a cheap Chinese case. I've been using the

Not bad for the price.

Not bad. Looks OEM. I initially used purple as a guinea pig, so the gap was natural, albeit small. I've filed a few spots and managed to close the gap, although it's still not perfect. If you didn't know what to look for, you'd never know. The keys are a little more "recessed", but once you get used to it, it doesn't matter. Also, the buttons will be stored more securely in your pocket. The logo on the back looks great too. Edit: The "Denso" sticker on the back of the key fob under the Lexus…

The case doesn't close completely, the buttons are difficult to press.

Unfortunately the molds for these key cases were not very accurate when they were made. When inserting a metal key into a small piece of plastic, it was initially too tight. I had to use pliers to pry the key through the hole. Because the key didn't fit, the whole case bulged when it was closed. See photo Also, the holes for the buttons are too deep. The most inconvenient is the unlock button. See photos. It's difficult to press the keys without rotating your thumb so it can reach the key. I…

Function over form with this handy FOB key case!

Great quality right here, assembled in less than 5 minutes. As mentioned, the clamshell has a small gap/hole next to the key stem and inserting the keyboard caused a tear in the weld. All of this is to say that it is purely cosmetic and key works great. Safe and functional. Just don't stare at the crevices or cracks for too long and you'll be fine. The key to the redesign is a small screw that is self-tapping, unlike the original screw that screws into the keyboard. Holds everything securely. I

Looks like real Lexus keys

We've had a Lexus for 17 years now and love it. The plastic sleeves of the two picks have been torn and sealed with tape for years. Lexus charges $489 for two new keys and remote keyless programming. We didn't want to pay that crazy price. After searching good old YouTube we found that laser cutting was very expensive and we came up with the idea of just replacing the broken case since the key itself was fine. If you still have your lockpicks, all you have to do is buy this plastic case and…

A BIT DIFFICULT BUT WORTH IT!

BETTER THAN EXPECTED PRODUCT - a bit tricky to assemble but good thing there aren't two ways to do it. Ordered Friday, received Monday: $5 shipping - fantastic. guts and key blade. Everything fits in the new Lexus key shell (with the Lexus logo). It comes with a tiny screwdriver, but if you have a set of micro screwdrivers, it's better to use a small single flat head NOT TO REMOVE THE SMALL LONG SCREW replacing your old, shorter one. You'll need to replace the battery from time to time, so yes,
