While they work great they need to offer more paint protection film. I bought some 3M materials that were cut separately (6" x 24") and glued them to either side of the lock on both locks. This will help prevent scratches on keys etc. The supplied tape (2 semi-circular pieces roughly the size of the lock itself) is pretty much useless. A small butane gas lamp might help as well, or I should just remember to rotate the spinners into the correct orientation BEFORE the freezing rain falls. Any moisture that gets into the spinner will then freeze and prevent the locks from being removed until they are thawed.
