Review on ๐Ÿ”ต DROK Blue~Tooth Board: Portable, 5V-24V Audio Receiver for DIY Home Sound System with Micro USB Port by Gary Knop

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great compact bluetooth module, very versatile for DIY projects.

Short and simple: Small, runs on almost every common DC voltage (5-35 V), great sound quality, low power consumption, fast and smooth connection. It's great for almost any Bluetooth DIY project, well worth buying. Long story: I used it on a project I just finished, a late 1980's Panasonic RX-FM16 boombox. Instead of the D elements, the ghetto blaster is now powered by an Anker USB rechargeable battery via a 9V USB adapter. I also connected the module to the 9V line and put it on a switch so that it Can be turned off when the radio is playing on the FM/AM bands. Through some research I was able to figure out which chip on the radio's motherboard was the ribbon preamp and remove it, then connect the output of that module (via a 3.5mm connector cable) to the output pins of the preamp. Simply press the play button on the cassette deck (whose motor has now been removed and removed) and the amp will turn on, then turn on the bluetooth module and your music will sound crystal clear. As you can also see everything is neatly tucked away in the original battery compartment as if it were meant to be. Ignore the hot glue. I haven't had any connection issues and the sound quality is great, no issues running on 9v but your mileage may vary. The device connects immediately.
