Okay, this sponge FLOATS; great when overdone! A sponge can be fully soaked in water and still float! It doesn't absorb water until you squeeze it; There were no instructions, but I found out. I haven't measured how much water it holds; maybe a liter. It absorbs quickly and is quick and easy to squeeze to drain water. Sponge material is the best you can get. If you need a boat sponge, this is it! I bought 2.
