I was recently trying to find a radio in our house that could run without power in an emergency and found I had NOTHING! So I decided to give it a try as I liked the features it had to offer. The key feature of this radio for me was the optional AAA battery support which will hopefully extend the life of this radio when the internal battery gets old and stops working. The radio weighs 10 ounces and is made of plastic. AM/FM/WB stations work well, but the tuning knob is very sensitive and difficult to tune. The smallest hit will change the station. The VHF antenna seems adequate, but like most extendable antennas, it's easy to break. This device packs a 2000mAh battery, which is enough to provide a phone charge, so you should not rely on this device as a day or multi-device charging solution. The device can be charged with the USB-C cable (included). Headlight and flashlight modes work well and are useful when camping or in an emergency.
