I bought this particular bread slicer because I realized it weighed more than the others and thought it would be stronger. I am very satisfied with this bread slicer. Bamboo is durable and well made. The bottom is very good and can make a good tray on its own. The pages stay in place and the knife that comes with it is of good quality. The only thing I don't like is that the bottom can get scratched when cutting, but I don't see how to avoid that. I don't think there is a better bread slicer for the price.
