Review on Universal Carrier Kayaks Surfboard Rooftop by Mark Cai

When I recently bought my grandson a kayak I needed to add a Yakima round bar roof rack to my existing roof rack system. I was looking for something cheaper than the Yakima brand. These J-pillars fit the bill. The upholstery foam looked thicker in the photos, so I went with that brand. The racks were easy to assemble and matched my existing bars. They fit round or oblong roof rails. They come with lots of straps to attach the kayak but no instructions on how to secure it. So if you are new to kayaking you may need to search the internet for pictures. My only problem was tightening the nuts on the fingers at the bottom just enough to keep the J-pillars on the handlebars from rotating. I used some rubber to make them more solid. Overall this is a good product at a good price.
