This kit comes pre assembled and pumped. Super easy to install and works great! A major upgrade over mechanical disc brakes. I bought my wife's bike 1.5 years ago and was happy to have disc brakes instead of the old V or rim brakes. But they were always a lot less powerful and more prone to squeaking than I was happy with. After doing some research and finding this upgrade kit, I ordered it without hesitation. It was very easy to install and I'm thrilled with the results! It's not a top-of-the-line mountain bike braking system, but for a trail bike with disc brakes, it's a big upgrade and well worth the expense and effort. Highly recommended! Update 11/30/2019: Just wanted to come back and give an update. My wife has ridden her bike over 1000 miles since I installed them and they still work great! It was a great upgrade to their bike. They work much better than the original cable-driven solution. They always squeaked because they had a fixed pad on one side and only one clamping pad was moving. They move simultaneously and are evenly tensioned on both sides. Also, they are now about $20 less than what I paid for them. Very important!
