Like most other people, I probably bought this camera for online WFH meetings like Zoom and Webex. I like big monitors, so with the lid closed my laptop is actually used as a desktop. It was a hassle when my video colleague asked me to take things off the computer and open the lid so I could have my laptop camera with me (plus all the settings so the camera is pointed at me). Now this camera has simplified the process. It comes with a clip already adjusted to sit securely on the screen. The camera is wide-angle, so if I move a little or turn to another monitor (I have two monitors), no adjustment is needed. The picture captured by this camera is amazing, much clearer than my laptop camera. Probably not surprisingly, the laptop's camera is only 720p, but this one is 1080p. I like when the room is a bit dark so I can focus and keep the room cool and save energy. This camera works amazingly well in low light, much better than a laptop camera, probably because the lens is much larger. While the autofocus worked really well, I still used manual focus (I'm glad I have that option) to keep people from noticing the mess behind me. The microphone is another big plus for this camera. I only noticed this when I was in a meeting with my colleague while my gardener was making noise outside. Windows 10's driver and software installation was automatic, so I didn't notice that Windows had selected the camera's microphone for the meeting. I apologized to my colleague for the noise but was surprised to hear he couldn't hear. This made me realize that the microphone on the camera has a good noise reduction function. All in all it's a good little investment for this little camera.
