I bought this because we have an english bulldog that will stand there and bark at you for no reason. No, he's not hungry or thirsty and he doesn't need to go out. He just barks and barks and barks. Instead of going crazy, I looked around for bark collars and even bought one, but they didn't work because they relied on barking vibrations and the folds of his skin prevented that. So, about 10 years ago I bought the previous version of this model. After constant beating from children (and the dog when we left her), the inspector died. I hesitated and resented this Garmin model but ultimately decided to go with it as a replacement because the first one lasted so long and worked so well. I highly recommend this model, despite the odd charger "upgrade". Customer service is also very good.
