Review on Aketek Infrared Extender Receiver Repeater by Alina Manley

I have nothing but good things to say about this device. The IR panel on my Vizio TV was barely working a few weeks ago which was preventing my sideclick remote from working with my TV. After installing this device, my Sideclick remote works like nothing happened. I'm so glad I found this solution! This device is worth every penny and extremely cheap to download! The instructions that came with the device leave a lot to be desired. I've been going through the comments on a failed YouTube video to figure out how to position the different parts, which is kind of ridiculous. In short, attach the smaller end directly to your TV's IR lamp/receiver (or IR lamp for whatever device you are trying to fix) and attach the large end (i.e. the IR blaster) to anything up to to the top of the big end shows you with no obstacle (not the edge as you might think). You can hide the small light on the blaster behind something if part of the blaster is not covered. I sit about 10 feet from the TV and it works fine. Hope you are successful too!
