Do not replace the entire faucet unless it is necessary
My old bathroom faucet was leaking and I thought I'd buy a new one and be done with it. Wow, cheap home depot crap and ridiculously expensive, and it looks like it's going to break in a few years. If you have a very heavy and durable faucet that these valves fit in, do yourself a favor and just fix what you have and forget about having to replace it after a few years. Installing these valves isn't as difficult as you might think, I'm a woman with no plumbing experience (husband passed) and I can do it!
