Installed this stand on my 2018 short (5-1/2 ft) F-150 and works great. I'm a woman in my early 40's and put this together by myself in about 2 hours. Supplied in a large cardboard box with all stands wrapped in bubble wrap. Each saddle is individually boxed with its own hardware. Comes with hardware for drilling into bed rails or clamp for no drilling option. I went with the clamps/no drill bits and they are very strong! The saddles are also quite easy to put on and take off. I've found that the easiest way to load kayaks is to pull them into the bed, then slide them onto the front saddle and slide forward until the back is clear of the bar. You can then mount the rear saddle and slide it back into place until it is centered. Comes with two different ties; Ratchet straps or traction straps (I've used traction straps but they don't seem as secure as ratchet straps). *Helpful Tip: You cannot drive through a car with loaded kayaks as they are too tall. I can only get in and out of our garage (we have 8ft doors) with a rack, bareback. I am very happy with this stand.
