Review on 🍀 Clover Amour Crochet Hook Set: 5.5mm, 5.50mm, Multicoloured - Premium Quality and Comfort for Crafting Bliss by Barbara Simmons

I bought this single hook as a test to see if I wanted to invest in a set. The handle is made of semi-rigid rubber. It's firm but flexes a bit, making it quite comfortable to hold. The size of the handle is such that it gives me more room to place my fingers than a regular hook. I hold my hooks in knife position, and on simple hooks I may have trouble getting the end of the hook in my palm; The end of this hook is protected so no problems with piercing. Only two things don't bother me about this hook: First, the actual part of the hook is too small. When I use thicker yarn, I feel like the yarn snaps because all of the thread doesn't fit into the hook beak. I haven't had any problems with it, but it's a problem. I also wish there was a little more clearance for the shank between the top of the handle and the end of the hook. I tend to pull the loops down a little further than the grip of this hook will allow. Overall, I really like this hook and ordered a set. I think the two issues I have with crocheting will resolve themselves with time and the good definitely outweighs the bad.
