Review on Gabriel 69901 Passenger Select Models by Doug Mancilla

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Satisfied and happy

My husband was able to fit them on all 4 wheels on my 1998 Volvo S70 T in about 3 hours with no problems (I also made matching rear shock absorbers). The $350 installation fee at the local shop has been avoided as no special tools are required to install these racks. Verified Volvo spec branded suspension products on specialist websites we have here in the North West. I just didn't want to go down the double price route to have the cash and prestige Volvo spec for this car, this daily driver who sees his wheels slip over the course of my job, which requires about 100 miles a day. In terms of driving performance (which is why I fell in love with this car from the start) I can't see any noticeable negative difference. Of course, at the time of the replacement, the ride quality was hardly what "factory" would have been. But I notice an update. The husband found that after 256,000 kilometers the car's original equipment was definitely worn out, so the money spent was worth it. Of course, if money is no object and you like the prestige factor, go for Volvo spec. If these two factors don't apply to you, then continue with these Gabriels. Super fast shipping via Revain (compared to the 3 weeks it takes a local store to get them). Acknowledged: I think I posted the STRUTS review (front) here when it should have been the SHOCK ABSORBERS review (back)! lol but you get the picture!
