Review on DEWALT DCS16125 4 Inch Gauge Finish: Efficient and Precise Woodworking Solution by Michael Schafer

Holds 3/8 saw board well

I have used 3/8 saw board (rather than drywall) for interior walls and ceilings around the home. I use these nails with a Dewalt 18V nail gun to nail the panels. The pins hold the panels well and aren't long enough to catch the wires in the studs. As expected they sometimes ruin the surface of the plate when you hit it on the nail plate. It is best not to insert any of these pins into the panel until you are sure the panel is in the correct place. When hanging the panels I held the panel where I thought it belonged and then used a hammer to drive 3 pins in without driving them all the way through so they could be pulled out if needed. This will hold the board in place so I can check the gaps to make sure they're 1/16" or less before nailing them down.
