Review on Ultimate Performance: Intel Core i7-2600 Quad-Core Processor with 8MB Cache and 3.4GHz Speed by Jhalak Jhalak ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

A really necessary purchase, I'm glad I found this product.

I changed my old Intel Core i7-870 to this miracle (I have 2 computers for 1155 and 1156). Caches of all levels are the same. At 4Ghz with the Zalman CNPS 10X Extreme cooler, the maximum output was 68-70 degrees, in idle mode with auto-lowering the frequency was only 29. +26 in the room. At 4Ghz, according to all tests, AIDA 64 v 5.30 on the Z68 chip bypasses the Core i7-3770K (Z77), Core i7-4770 (Z87) in all tests. The difference is already significant with 6-cores on the 2022 socket, but now they cost accordingly. Everything flies. And given that I took it from Av * something for 7k and sold my old G850 for 1.5k, I just get high.

Pros
  • Performance Acceleration! Overclocked performance
Cons
  • They just don't exist!

Has pros: Until now, in 2022, it works in the second computer. Cold (if the cooler is normal). Reliable. And it's funny to say, fast enough not even today. Different cons: Haven't found one in 9 years.

The best that is currently available for a home computer. Runs with a bang and remains cold. As of October 8, 2022, it still has no competitors at all. Thanks to Intel for a very cool stone. If I were to assemble the system now, I would assemble it only at 1155 and with this particular percentage, everything that came out later I will repeat in non-competition.

In terms of power in 2022, it has already completely lost its relevance with the release of the i3 8100. They are the same in terms of power and price too, so it’s better to build a new platform than ate the old one.
