I had three problems: the cruise control would not engage, the ability to start the engine without pressing the brake pedal, and the ability to get from park mode into change the driving mode without pressing the brake pedal. This fixed all three. Please make sure you already have the switch before purchasing. I've read on several forums that the late 2004 model year Cayenne may not have derailleur gears. Can't comment on durability as I installed it a week ago.
