I wanted to replace the old ugly hinges with nice soft close recessed Euro-Hinges but the woodwork required was quite difficult for those who don't. have a shop or tools. I read the reviews of this device and looked at the very detailed instructions online and then ordered it. I am very happy with the device and how well it works! Using this tool I've replaced a total of forty hinges on 20 different doors in a few days and never had a problem. The bracket has pre-drilled holes for mounting screws, and the combination of one large hole and two small pre-drilled holes was perfect for the Blumotion compact soft close hinges I used. After 40 loops, the included Forstner Nozzle was still sharp enough to cut through the tough oak of our closet doors. A few small issues required some care and attention. First, our hinges feature a 35mm hole depth of 7/16", but the tensioner has a collar that cannot be adjusted less than 1/2" deep. I wrapped a piece of electrical wire between the collar and the bracket to reduce the depth of the hole to about 7/16 inch with great results. Second, our hinges required an offset of 20.5mm from the door edge to the center of the 35mm hole, but setting the jig to 3mm to offset the hole edge resulted in an offset of just over 21mm. Also, the edge of the door was not flat and the jig did not reach the widest point of the door profile. The error resulting from these two issues was about 1mm, small enough to be ignored as the hinges allow enough adjustment to compensate. the door to the table and the conductor to the door. Take your time and measure each hole twice. You don't need to be a well-equipped carpenter to assemble these hinges.
