This is exactly the gate I needed! You see, I have a small army of minions that I spawned in this world, and they seem used to using one of my biggest 'problems' against me. You see how some people feel about spiders and snakes, I feel about crumbs! Don't get me wrong, it's not a mess, it's the feeling of crumbs (and hence seeing them and thinking about them!). We just moved in and to prevent these little ones from destroying the whole house we installed a baby gate in the dining room! Sure, older kids can open it up as intended, but that means they have to remember to get food out of the kitchen, through the dining room, which MUST have lunch, and out into the rest of the house. You MUST think THAT MOM WILL TURN BACK if she catches me and turn back before it's too late! With hope. The gate also keeps the youngest baby monster in the dining room for them to eat and snack on as they are no longer strapped to a high chair, although to be honest it just gave them a high vantage point to toss their babies anywhere! Until the baby can't get through the gate anymore! It was easy to install and not difficult for the elderly to understand. The child opens the gate as far as possible whenever possible to ensure that it does not close by itself. It is normal that there is no food on the table in the dining room because there is another children's gate between the dining room and the kitchen. I'll be replacing it with another one as the old one has to be climbed over and while this mom needs a workout it can be a problem when trying to get food from the kitchen into the dining room. I want to say that these gates are helping me a lot and I love the way they look and I'm getting at least one more of these!
