Review on Teraflex 1513001 Steering Stabilizer by Chris Wheeler

Revainrating 2 out of 5

It would be nice if the dead zone didn't exist.

I have installed this with other Teraflex steering components and immediately noticed a dead zone once the pin was at rest in any position (half an inch to each side and a sound like air was blowing through the diaphragm pistons ). ) which caused the wheel to rock slightly while riding, but after that first half inch it was working (dampened) as it should. The bad news is that the steering is stationary for most of the ride. Yes, if everything is perfect with the steering system, including tires and wheels, there shouldn't be any serious problems. However, this is a Jeep, so it's not, even from the factory…. For your information, this vehicle has new tires, steering components and all other associated equipment in good condition, 2014/JK/45,000 miles/35 seconds. After installing the new OEM stub everything was fine with no problems from 0 to 80. This is a quibble on my part. Based on Teraflex it should be better as the add-on says though...
