I am a fairly experienced PC user and after purchasing a microphone with a traditional analog input (Antlion v3) I was told that my volume was low. After checking a few settings and drivers with other people on Discord, I had to search the internet to find out that some motherboards weren't delivering enough voltage to the microphones and my microphone required around 5V. This adapter was exactly what I needed. it worked right away. I would recommend plugging a microphone into this adapter and plugging headphones into a working jack on the motherboard as this adapter may result in lower headphone sound quality than your cellphone can output.
