I’ll make a reservation right away - I’m not a specialist in hardware, but due to my activity I need performance. Bought for a new computer from scratch. The previous one is outdated. There was a Quad with 4 cores of 2.4 each, DD2, etc. It is probably worth mentioning that Asus x99-a, Noctua-D15 cooler (Two for 140mm, 1600RPM) took my mother. The case is equipped with three 120mm coolers from the front, and two more anthological coolers behind and on top. Overclocked using Asus 5-way Optimization, which comes with the mother. The program is interesting as an overclocker, as well as a manager of overclocking profiles, cooling and monitors of computer parameters. It is especially interesting for people like me, for those who do not want to delve into all the subtleties of overclocking (which is probably more than one day or month), and spend a couple of days on tests. Free cheese, we know where it happens, but still dispersed it. The software gives a warning that after the parameters have been worked out, testers such as OCCT or AIDA unreasonably increase the voltage by a percent, and the result may not be adequate. And so it happened. Overclocked to 4.4. There could be more, but I stopped there. OCCT dropped at 7 minutes. I decided to test for a real task. Test: MentalRay render 25560x1440. With all the blurs to load longer. Eventually. 100% load at 4.4 (29% increase). Duration 80 minutes. The CPU temperature is kept at 60/66 degrees. Individual cores will jump +6/-6 degrees. The uterus and hard are kept at 30. I can’t say anything about the operative, I think that there are no problems, given that DDR4 means less food and heats up, at least that’s what they write. The CPU cooler was used by 65-80%, the rest is about the same. Satisfied with the choice. The difference with the previous computer, heaven and earth, because the subtleties that may have a place to be are visible to me.
