Revainrating 4 out of 5

Looks beautiful, brews great, isn't fussy about design details

I want to start by mentioning the most important thing about a French press coffee maker, and that is how well it works. In terms of design (especially the filter design) it does its job well. It holds the coffee grounds and very little seeps through the filter when the coffee is poured. In this respect I award 5 stars. Now let's move on to the design flaws. While it looks cosmetically good from afar. If you look closely you will begin to notice imperfections in the design. For example, a stainless steel bracket holding a glass jar in place is not a perfect design to match the shape. There is a small gap that allows you to remove the glass (or push it out if it's more deformed). The ability to remove it is good in the sense that you can clean it? but totally unnecessary in my opinion. While the lid is nice, it doesn't fit like my previous French Press. In terms of it still wobbling and not fitting snugly, that's not really an issue, but if you suffer from OCD like I do, it can be a bit confusing. Remember. Despite all this, this is a nice French press that works as it should. Imperfection is the reason for 4 stars. How much it costs you is very much a matter of personal opinion. I wouldn't pay $50 for this in my opinion as there are better ones in this price range. I would say $20 is a reasonable price for this item.
