You won't have to sell your firstborn

When my parents got married--over a half century ago--they bought a Dutch oven. The famous French brand. They used it all the time when I was growing up, and they're still using it now. For years I've been wanting one of my own, but I also didn't want to take out a second mortgage or sell my firstborn in order to afford one. So I decided to try this one. It's really pretty--love the pale blue color--and is certainly as heavy as my parents' pot. The lid fits perfectly. So far I've been using it to bake breads, and it's handling that job perfectly. I don't know if it will last 50 years, but then neither will I, so that's okay. My kids can buy their own.It cleans up easily and handles high heat well. The lid was a little loose when the oven arrived, but my husband fixed that. So far, I'm very pleased.

Pros
  • The DIJA Blue Dutch oven pot is oven-safe up to 500°F, making it perfect for both stovetop and oven cooking
Cons
  • The enamel can stain or discolor with certain ingredients, affecting its appearance and visual appeal
