I sold my Qumi projector and got this one for higher lumens. Great projector and very bright (4200 lumens) for the price but it took me a lot of trial and error to figure out what I wanted to do with the projector. First, it doesn't connect to my iPhone or iPad with a cable. I bought an Apple cable (as recommended) and it still didn't work. I think this is a flaw of the projector in general and not just mine? However, I was able to get it to pair my iPhone and iPad (mirror image). See below for instructions on how to do this. Also important for me was the use of a USB drive (flash drive). I tried a lot and it didn't work. After message from the company they told me what to try and it worked. First off, it won't read (for video playback) a USB larger than 32GB. Also, the USB MUST be in Fat32 format. Since I have a Mac I didn't know how to connect my USB drives to Fat32 as that option wasn't offered and I could still find it. I got lucky though and ordered a $10 Samsung 32GB USB drive (link here https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07BPHML28/ref=oh_aui_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc= 1) and it was formatted in Fat32. As long as the video is in MP4 or AVI format, it will play. There may be other formats that work as well, but these two definitely worked. iTunes movies in M4V will NOT play. I also wanted to connect an external speaker (although the projector is quite loud when you turn the volume all the way up. Also, if you're mirroring an iPhone or iPad, make sure their volume is turned up as well). To connect a Bluetooth speaker, go to "Settings" and then to "Bluetooth" and pair the speaker. If you don't see the speaker, exit Bluetooth and then go back. To mirror on an iPhone or iPad, go to "Multimedia" and then select the option with the capital "E" on the right. you have to make sure Make sure your phone (or iPad) is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as the projector. On your phone (or iPad), select the projector in the mirroring options (looks like the TV icon below). Hope that helps. Quit "Bluetooth" and then come back.
