I had to replace a few exterior locks. However, I needed something weatherproof. According to the description it was so I bought two. The touchpad requires the user to touch the pad, enter a code, and then press the pound key. If you are in a hurry, it is inconvenient. However, this removes the burden of having to use multiple keys on a keychain. Installation was easy but the fit was very tight making it difficult to twist parts. A small cotter pin secures the square bar. It uses 4 AA batteries which are included with the lock. The handle must be removed to use the key. Not exactly ideal or practical. It doesn't lock from the inside with a handle. It will be locked automatically. The programming was confusing and I wasn't happy with the process. Luckily, you can perform a factory reset using the reset button. It has no indicator lights or an audible signal to let the user know if the programming has been accepted. The sensitivity of the touchscreen is average. The outer case is made of beautifully polished metal. Where the budget cuts is on the flimsy plastic cover and mounting plate/screws. For a door I only use 4-5 times a year it will be fine. But I expected more.
