I don't even know what to think after discovering this, but at first I thought my iPhone 7plus was emitting ionizing radiation (not a radio wave type). Obviously all electronics emit radio waves, but the blue geiger counter (pictured) I used is only for detecting ionizing radiation - things like uranium, radioactive gas, x-rays, etc. I even turned the iPhone off completely to check for anything beyond that to determine factors. After I removed the protective film from the screen and put the counter on it for about 1 minute, my geiger counter went crazy and reached 170 counts per minute! I thought the meter was broken so I tried brand new batteries, tested several other screen protectors for different phones and it still got 170 cpm on them. Just to give you an idea, 170 counts per minute is roughly equivalent to the radiation your body absorbs from a mammography X-ray! Well, the exception is that the radiation range of this screen protector is about 2 inches so it doesn't penetrate your body, but I did touch it with my fingers and put it on my face when I called. I prefer not to risk my body so I immediately removed this protective film and threw it in the trash. *Note: The box and its contents did not emit any (unusual) radiation, 32 pulses per minute is background radiation under normal conditions. CAN WE GET NON-RADIOACTIVE SCREEN PROTECTION?
