I have a Milwaukee Axis jacket with dual zone heating. As with most users, the main complaint is the bulkiness of the cylindrical M12 battery, which digs into your kidney. This is most often a problem when sitting or sliding past a narrow opening, e.g. B. when you sit in your truck and then get out in a tight parking lot. I've been looking for a solution using random battery packs and a USB to male adapter for a while and haven't had any luck. The problem seems to be with the higher output capacity of the battery (if available), and this is where the Smarky adapter comes into play. By design this should create a demand for higher performance at which the jacket will work. I received the updated version as shown in the photos in the description and have no experience with the older version. Had this worked properly I was planning on ordering two more as my wife uses the Milwaukee Axis jacket and Milwaukee Axis vest. I'm not sure if the adapter is working properly. My experience with the RAV POWER 15000mAh RP-PB231 includes the following working scenarios: 1. When connecting to the jacket and properly connecting to the battery pack, the red light in the adapter is on. Turning on any of the zones on the jacket will trigger the battery charge percentage and the QC 3.0 indicator on the battery pack and the jacket will begin to warm up.2. Turning on the second zone while the first zone has already been triggered disables everything. You must disconnect and reconnect the adapter at this point.3. If the red light in the adapter is flashing, the jacket will not turn on. The red indicator must be on continuously for the adapter to work.4. Both zones work independently of the adapter and battery, but both zones do not work at the same time. At this point, I'm not sure if the problem is with the battery, the adapter, or a combination of the two. Or maybe the adapter can't handle dual zones? In one area it's amazing how much better this adapter and battery works and fits compared to the Milwaukee M12. I'll try other batteries when I get a chance. Until I find a solution that works with both zones, I'll have to refrain from buying a few more. updated 27.12. My wife's Milwaukee Axis vest only has one zone so I let it try all day today. After a brilliant start this morning the power randomly started breaking. No predictability or patterns until it's disabled. The battery charge is sufficient, about 60-70%. I forced it to switch to medium settings and that seemed to fix things for a while, but it soon went back to random shutdowns as well. It's a shame considering how much she appreciated the smaller form factor and likely longer battery life. The real problem is that every time it turns off, you have to remove the battery from the integrated zip pocket, unplug the adapter, press the button on the battery and wait for the light in the adapter to come on. red. EVERY TIME. I could work around it, but I can't expect her to mess around with it all the time. Rating downgraded from 3 to 1 today. I have more batteries on the way and will update if it's a battery/adapter compatibility issue. It doesn't matter which settings have been activated. I am using a different RAV POWER battery pack, which fixes the problem with the different battery pack. Unless that's a problem with RAV POWER in general. It works but not as intended, which is disappointing. So close to a solution. 6/1/21 return. When used with a third battery type (all have the required QC 3.0) the results are the same or worse. Given that both zones have never worked and this is very inconsistent when it comes to batteries, this doesn't seem like a short or long term solution. That's very bad because he had a lot of potential.
