Don't waste your money
I like that these rugs are easy to clean. They don't smell at all right after washing. However, it smells awful after the first day of use in a guinea pig cage. It absorbs urine but doesn't sink onto the mat, helping to deal with odors. It stays moist until it dries naturally. It's a bit too small for the medium sized cages I have so feces and urine get caught on the edges of the cage. If you want to save money by buying liners instead of regular bedding, just buy quality fleece liners.
