I was looking for a quick release plate that would meet all my needs and finally found a system that perfectly met all my needs. I needed something that I could mount on a variety of tripods, liquid mounts, gimbals, monopods, and ball heads. It should be flush mounted so I can mount it on large video heads with wide base plates, it should also allow my camera to sit flat on a flat surface and it shouldn't tilt. I tried a well known brand quick release plate and had an issue with a little play and the base plate would not sit flush on my large tripod mounts. These Neewer quick release plates work perfectly. The base plate sits flush and I have no problem installing it on any of my grills, the plates quickly snap onto the base and lock in place with no play, there is a trigger to prevent accidental unlocking, the quick release plate sits flat too so I can put your camera down and it doesn't tip over and the best part is they're only twenty bucks. I like having one system that works for everything. Now I can mount any of my cameras, binoculars or binoculars on any of my tripods, I can quickly attach my camera to the Ronin S gimbal without fiddling with mounting screws, I can leave the baseplates on my cameras without fear of them tipping over.
