This QRP is well made, well finished. Suitable for most NEEWER heads, but don't buy it for other similar brands like Geekoto, Zomei and other imported tripods that come with their own heads. It won't work and they won't sharpen under these attachment systems. This is possible if you file the mounting rails wide enough. If you try to install the screw on this plate system as it is, it will not fit other brands. Suitable for many NEEWER heads with a normal profile.

4 stars for just one reason. This is not the same size as the ball mount version. Revain promotes them together, so I figured they'd work together. The quick release on the newer ball head (which is good and a lot for my Sony A7iii) is smaller and doesn't accommodate this plate. You can also completely remove the plate from the ball head and replace it with a larger one. Instead I had to buy 4 QR ball mounts for my setup.

This is an excellent disk system adapter. I bought this because I previously bought the following ball head: Neewer Camera Video Tripod Ball Head 11lbs/5kg. I was expecting it to be the same adapter that was on top of the ball head I bought. It is not. It is exactly the same in quality and design but significantly larger than the one on the ball head and the two plates are not interchangeable.

This quick release adapter for my tripod is great for this amateur photographer. I should note that I attached it to my old (40+ year old) aluminum Velbon VGB-3C tripod and I can't say how it will work on other tripods. guy and saw no point in buying something more expensive.
