Review on Hawk Performance HB589Y 704 LTS Brake by Michael Robinson

I have driven about 40,000 miles with these pads and they are almost worn out. They also generate a large amount of dust! It pretty much ruined my chrome rims because I don't want to wash them every week. When I put them on new ones, I also put on new Bosch rotors. I just replaced those stupid rotors again because they had huge grooves on the ends, maybe from pads, maybe from rocks, IDK. The rotors also started warping and I started shaking the steering wheel. But this combination worked better than any other I had. This is the fourth set of rims that I have mounted on my truck! Ceramic pads shine and warp on your rotors from what I've read and the purpose of the ceramic was to reduce dust. I don't think you can get ceramics for large installations so this should tell you something about their uses. So I'll probably go back to these pads because I don't have a better choice and they stop very well.
