Everything but the mounting plate is plastic.

When I bought this I thought the stick body was aluminum but it's plastic. I've seen about 50 photos of different owners complaining about the trunnions breaking off. It's much better to have an aluminum diaphragm lifting mechanism so the diaphragms can be replaced rather than the entire unit. Also, they are very noisy, so they got rid of that, maybe they will start making them from a more durable material. Otherwise I like it so far. Just don't watch them last long. Many Thanks
