This is an excellent device for the money. I originally bought this unit because my Finnex heater was not showing the correct temperature. After purchasing it, I realized why no one had one of these? At least everyone who cares about their fish or their investment. I have a lot of discus in my aquarium so this is really a must have. Some people can use this to control heating. I use mine for security. You can set it how you want the tank to turn on and off. I prefer to set it to the upper limit of where I want the water temp to be and let it turn off the heater in case the heater itself fails. I would give this 5 stars but found that the temperature sensor is not entirely accurate. Luckily you can calibrate it. I took the average of two different digital thermometers and set them accordingly. The rest works fine. I highly recommend it to all lovers. Cheap fish or expensive, it's worth it.
