Inaccurate for aquarium heaters and coolers

Rubbish, I bought 2 of these, 1 for my lizard and 1 for my snake and they are so far from accurate it's mind blowing. Both worked fine for a few days but now they can't control the temperature for a damn thing. I set it to 77 and 78. What are the actual temperatures in my snake tank during the night? Somewhere between 74 and 80 degrees, which may not seem like much, but is totally unacceptable for reptiles. The displayed temperature will jump up and down by up to 2 degrees without actually…

Works well for a while

Have bought 5 of these over the last few years to control 500-900w heaters in ponds. The reason I bought so many is because initially they seemed to work fine. I've replaced 3 under 'warranty' where you have to pay shipping and 2 more have failed in the past few weeks. The biggest problem I've encountered is the temperature sensor drift. An inkbird went from 72 to 93 overnight with no change in water temperature. The other block is now stable at 6 degrees. Using the calibration settings feature

VERY GOOD and definitely a lot of good/useful tweaks

This works very well for my boas (two adults and one baby) I have 4 large zoom mats attached to it with an extension in one of the two slots. The temperatures of all the mats are within 1 degree of each other, and with all the settings this thing has, it makes things a lot easier. The best feature for me is the temperature calibration. This will give you an accurate temperature. What you do is check the temperature of the mat with a temperature gun probe. If the reading on the mat is higher or…

All fans deserve it

This is an excellent device for the money. I originally bought this unit because my Finnex heater was not showing the correct temperature. After purchasing it, I realized why no one had one of these? At least everyone who cares about their fish or their investment. I have a lot of discus in my aquarium so this is really a must have. Some people can use this to control heating. I use mine for security. You can set it how you want the tank to turn on and off. I prefer to set it to the upper limit

Work as described. Easy to use. Costs money. Make life easier for yourself.

Works as described. Easy to use. I bought these for my kennel project. Preparation for the winter season. I convert this device to a digital thermostat controller where I set a desired temperature value and a deviation of how many degrees below my set value that will trigger the relay. For example, my target is 65 degrees and the deviation is 4 degrees. Anytime the kennel temperature drops to 61 or below, the relay will trip to turn on the kennel heater. Once the kennel temperature reaches 65…

Appearance and design looks good and after I figured out how to program he was happy but the reading of the current temperature got wrong (more than 7 degrees F above actual temperature) and is set to toggle at 36 degrees, not at temp. was below 29 degrees. The actual temperature was checked with another ink bird controller and a digital thermometer. Ink-Bird's website says you must return it to where you bought it to get a warranty replacement, or email Ink-Bird. A return to Revain was not…

Precise and reliable - after the right setting!

Last year I bought a Farm Innovators model TC-3 cold weather thermal cube with outlet thermostat control - incl at 35°/off at 45° and although it seemed to work I wasn't happy. (See review there.) I've only had 2 nights below freezing since I've had Inkbird, but it worked great for those 2 nights - once I figured out how to set it up. The instructions I found are confusing. They are set to degree C. If, like me, you prefer grade F, you'll need to set that up first, even though it's step 4 in…
