Review on Westcott 2012 32-Inch Optical White Satin Umbrella with Removable Black Cover - High-Quality Photography Equipment by Heather Brown

A little small but does its job and fits in my luggage

I needed new shooting umbrellas so I went with these. I love that Westcott is now using fiberglass fins as they flex a bit and seem to hold up better than metal fins. Metal is always deformed. I also like the versatility of being able to use it as a cross (lid off) or rebound (with cap) or as a flag depending on your needs. The size is a bit small but they fit in my travel luggage so I just work with them. It's an umbrella, so I don't expect it to last forever, and wind is an issue when shooting outdoors, but it's a good choice if you need more than see-through shots. Be nice to them and they will last longer. Be careful when removing the lid as the exposed tips(?) can be sharp.
