Very powerful gravel vacuum. We have a 37 gallon tank (tall) and it fills our 5 gallon buckets very quickly when changing the water in the tank. It's easy to get water flowing by using your mouth to start the siphoning process, BUT it's risky. If you're not careful, you'll end up with a sip of fish water. I like the performance, but it's difficult to fit a large gravel suction pipe in small spaces or between decorations. It's not the end of the world as things are easy to move and we don't mind redecorating the design. It might not be the best gravel cleaner for planted aquariums due to the sheer power it generates, but it certainly speeds up the water change day. For us! I would like a model like this with a hand held bulb to start the siphon instead of doing it by mouth.
