Review on Evenflo Multi Use Decor Walk Thru Black by Tara Cooper

We have had great success with this gate. We bought this to keep our older dog away from our new carpet and still allow him to roam around part of the house. I was a bit concerned with some of the reviews saying there were issues with the installation, especially after we installed it and then decided to move it again (and already cut the strap holding the gate together). We found that if we evenly tightened each side (which required rocking back and forth as many times as needed until it was where we wanted) it lined up perfectly. We purchased four wall protectors separately in advance to avoid marking our door. It locks automatically when you go through the gate, but if I'm anticipating multiple passes through the gate with laundry etc, I can close the gate smoothly without snapping the latch and the dog won't be able to open it when I do it right. Page. My daughter brought her Alaskan Malamute (a huge dog) and he gave up trying to knock him down. Success! It's a pity that we didn't discover this gate years ago.
