So far so good Fits well for gates and gate extensions

We've had it for a few weeks now. The only correspondence I have is that he can "go astray" quite easily. That means if you hit it "wrong" or close it, it won't fully engage. It seems secure but there is a red/green light to show if it is indeed blocked and the red is still on. I bought it to keep dogs out of the kitchen so I don't really care. The fact that it's a gate is enough to keep them out (meaning they don't push the door open to get through). However, I might be concerned if I tried to

Good item for gates and gate extensions

Item arrived on time no damages and decent quality. I have kept my elderly Siamese (hairy) cat and two Shiba Inu dogs out of the living room because they have lost so much fur and my dogs have snuck into my lovely chairs to take a nap. It makes a nice change and doesn't look cheap, but still lets in light without completely dividing rooms. My other cat can jump and land on top which scares him a bit. I'll put something to hold it in place on the bottom. That's my only downside. It would be nice

These are beautiful goals of high quality.

After forty years as a self-employed woman, I have done almost every installation, assembly, adjustment, renovation and repair of vaulted fans, etc. So I didn't think this installation would be difficult. general; However, it was over five hours before I gave up and called my contractor son to finish the job. Instructions are garbage. Nowhere was it mentioned that this had to be bolted to the sides with draw bolts. I strongly recommend that you ensure you have a clear understanding of the task…

Measure carefully to safety

My new rescued dog ran out of the house several times as company came and went. I decided to put a gate at the top of the stairs so Arthur wouldn't run off and chase the neighbor's cats. My concern was finding a gate that was wide enough to climb in and strong enough that people couldn't move it since it was attached to the wrought iron. The hole was 48 to 49 inches. To make it more durable I bought a piece of wood and cut it to the width and length of the end posts. I sprayed the wood and…

Used as a dog gate, best in gates and gate extensions

We have had great success with this gate. We bought this to keep our older dog away from our new carpet and still allow him to roam around part of the house. I was a bit concerned with some of the reviews saying there were issues with the installation, especially after we installed it and then decided to move it again (and already cut the strap holding the gate together). We found that if we evenly tightened each side (which required rocking back and forth as many times as needed until it was…

Shelf life 6 months - but very useful before it breaks!

We use this gate in a high traffic area to keep our four dogs in (or out of) the kitchen/dining area. Three of our dogs weigh between 60 and 100 pounds and love to stand up with their paws up. This is the second time we have bought this gate and as others have reported the hinge is unusable and breaks after about 6 months. The gate is beautiful and fits in well with our decor and is strong enough to withstand serious abuse from a large child and dog, but the hinged plastic cover just doesn't…

Perfect so far.: Gates and gate extensions

Highly recommend this gate. I love the craftsmanship and functionality. It closes by itself as you walk through and opens in any direction, which is a great benefit when trying to keep or keep kids or dogs out. The aluminum connections are carefully soldered. And it looks like it was made especially for this place, very attractive together with my wrought iron staircase. It is installed on the second floor at the top of the spiral staircase, so the stairwell is now safe for small creatures. 5…

Unique indentation in door and stair gate

This is my 4th baby gate installed and I will be returning it tomorrow. Not only is this the worst thing I've ever bought, it's also defective. I have ordered a replacement Todderoo. I watched too many goals and got confused and should have been ordered to start with this one. It started badly when one of the wall mount screws broke and wouldn't turn all the way down. Oiling it and screwing it in and out didn't help loosen it and I ended up using a channel lock to get it working. After…
