I have a 14.5ft double kayak. I use this lift to store my kayak on my small patio so the kayak is out of the way. This is a simple device, seems solid enough and works well. The kayak stays securely in place. It will be interesting to see how it performs after prolonged use. It's a very cheap device for everything it is and does. Lifting the kayak is a little tricky as the kayak is heavy and the lift doesn't really provide leverage, but I can do it myself. The only issue I have is that the straps are too long so the kayak ends up hanging too low which defeats the purpose. I want the kayak to be stowed very tightly and with minimal slack - this one sags almost a foot more than I would like due to the straps being too long. I'll fix it when I have time, but I'll cut the belts.
