Funny and gets the job done
While they're certainly not "absorbent" they still get the job done. Residues of condensation remain on the wood, but can be easily wiped off. I was a little surprised that two of the four coasters were defective (one had a splinter of wood, one had a streak through the ink). However, considering they're only $16, they still get a 4/5 for "value for money".
