I bought an intake for my Silverado at the end of December 2017. Filters garbage. I have no idea how long it's been since that rubber split in half causing dirt and debris to get into my engine. Do yourself a favor and buy K&N or some other high-end brand. In addition to the filter failure, all of the "stainless steel" brackets were corroded and needed to be replaced. Both rubber sleeves had to be replaced. They have scuffs on the edge from dry rot. Also, a week after installation, the bracket broke off (the little rubber grommet that connects the inlet tube to the heat shield). Very low quality. I bought these air intakes for several cars.
