Extremely low quality! Do not buy!

I bought an intake for my Silverado at the end of December 2017. Filters garbage. I have no idea how long it's been since that rubber split in half causing dirt and debris to get into my engine. Do yourself a favor and buy K&N or some other high-end brand. In addition to the filter failure, all of the "stainless steel" brackets were corroded and needed to be replaced. Both rubber sleeves had to be replaced. They have scuffs on the edge from dry rot. Also, a week after installation, the bracket…

Stick to the best stock filters

I immediately felt a small increase in power and acceleration on my 2006 GMC Sierra Z71, but after a few months I started to hear a knock in the engine. The filter was also clean. It initially looked and sounded great, but you realize how cheap it is. The air filter is translucent. Other reviews are correct, screws are cheap. The bolt/yoke holding the heat shield broke within the first month. Also, it kept slipping off the gas when I got into a dip or something, causing my engine to cut out…

Good value for money

Delivery was fast. Installation was done but had to send back the throttle body gasket. After assembly, the cone continued to slip despite the lock. The rubber was too smooth and slippery to bite. Had to use sandpaper to rough up the rubber and then use a clamp. This helped as the surface could now grab and hold the intake tube. The initial drive had more power when accelerating and overtaking. After a long drive, economy, fuel consumption and other performance evaluations are updated. Update…

Definitely a good buy

Chevy 2002 2500hd Silverado 4x4 Extended Cab. As with any part of performance, maybe you're just driving on the freeway and when you get home you're checking for air leaks with the engine running. and tighten the clamps if necessary. I also replaced the mass air flow sensor since it was already disassembled. Good guide, removing old system and installing everything took about 45 minutes and I'm just a shade tree mechanic. After my 45-mile test ride, I tested it out of turn and throttle response

Great products and company

Bought this three years ago for my 2003 Suburban which I use primarily to tow a 7000 lb RV. The commuter rig is allowed to tow a maximum of 7,100 pounds, so runs to the limit. Not sure if the air intake actually helps performance or MPG, but it looks great and gives the engine a nice growl from around 2500 rpm. I think for the money this product is about as good as K&N and other similar CAIs. I also have a Bullydog GT tuner installed and when I use premium fuel and the right tuning for it it…

Happy with purchase

Installed the air intake in less than an hour as I also replaced the serpentine belt, AC belt and serpentine tensioner. Pretty easy to install except the vibration pad screw broke when I was tightening it. (I'll call to get a replacement.) After installing everything, I booted up my truck (2000 Chevy Silverado Z71 1500). You could tell by the sound that it was already working. I ran the truck for about 4 minutes and accelerated to 3500 rpm. It sounded great, much lower pitch than usual. Even…
