Review on Womens Cable Knit Beanie Hat with Fur Pom - Pilipala Bobble Hat Skull Cap for Women by Suhas Carney

I have mixed reviews for this cap. I was very impressed with the attention to detail. This is a quality hat at an amazing price. I bought red, the color is rich and the lining is plush. Sigh. The only reason I sent it back is because the pom pom is made out of real raccoon fur. In times of high-quality faux fur, I was disappointed that the manufacturer chose real fur to decorate the knitted hat. While I understand that in some parts of the world it will be necessary to use real animal skin to keep warm, I cannot justify ending an animal's life for a decorative pom pom. I thought about leaving the hat and just not using the pom pom. But it would be silly to have a latch at the top of your hat if there was nothing to put in the hole. If you can get over that, I doubt you'll be disappointed with the hat. The manufacturer even went to great lengths to figure out how to remove the pompom when washing. There's even a clasp and drawstring to keep the pompom in place so you don't lose it. Very well done. I'm writing this review in the hopes that the company will choose a faux fur pom pom. It would even help with manufacturing costs as it could be sewn on and simplified. Or, if the raccoon fur is left over, it would be helpful to make it clear in the description that real fur was used in the making of this hat. I wouldn't buy it.
